INSTALLATION
Simple DIY replacement, but use the correct tool for the job.
PRO TIPS
- Use external snap-ring (circlip) pliers rather than flat-blade pliers or a screwdriver, over-flexing the clip by hand tools not made for the job can distort its temper, and a distorted clip can pop out of its groove in service.
- Always replace the clip rather than reusing one you've removed; even a small amount of spring-back loss can let it work loose over time.
